What we did

Interior Design

A historically significant Grade II listed brewery became the perfect location for this creative out of town office and headquarters. A symbiotic work space for a leading global communications agency. A place to hunker down, generate ideas and brew success.

The Challenge

Under strict confidentiality and with protected Grade II listed and Heritage parameters, we were challenged with conceptualising and delivering an interior concept for the unique satellite workspace and away day residency. A hideaway for high level international decision making and top secret brand, political and celebrity comms.

The Strategy

A symbiotic approach that utilised the character of the existing spaces. Playing up on the origins of the building and it’s original use became the opportunity to define different areas. Shed created pockets for tailor made activity. We wrapped upstairs in a hospitality setting, a place where ideas could be conceptualised in a relaxed and inviting space (brewed), while simultaneously put into realtime execution with live and rapid responses downstairs in the lab (bottled).

The Solution

By christening the spaces and referencing the building’s original purpose we developed a unique creative approach ownable to the client’s business and operations. A variety of working modes and spaces fit for high level response and idea generation. Lounge, breakout and hidden rooms supported these two key functions. An office meets situation room with all the panache of a private members club.

FACILITATING THE CREATIVE PROCESS

We wrapped upstairs in a hospitality setting, a place where ideas could be conceptualised in a relaxed and inviting space (brewed), while simultaneously put into realtime execution with live and rapid responses downstairs in the lab (bottled).

More than just a set of singular spaces. Interconnected rooms and floors supporting ‘real-time’ process and workflow activity.

A lab inspired workplace in what was once the bottling room fo the original Brewery production.
A quiet library workspace with bespoke tailor made furniture and joinery. Hidden secret lounge room beyond the bookcase door.

CELEBRATING THE BUILDING

Ensuring the buildings heritage was reinstated and remained a part of the charm of the fabric of the scheme was key. Re-igniting a sense of purpose to what was once a dormant building rich in local brewing history.

Inserting a scheme of contemporary and iconic furniture celebrated the reinstated envelope of the listed building.
