What we did

Stand Design,Production and Build Management,Print & Artwork

Be it spring summer, autumn or winter, year on year, Barbour entrusted Shed as their creative design partner to showcase everything from new lines to their signature classic wax jacket. Bringing retail innovation to Europe's best-in-class fashion expo.

The Challenge
Working closely with the brand and marketing teams, the brief was to realise Barbour's latest campaign with a full 3D stand design. Shed conceptualised, designed and cost-managed the build, delivering the five day, twice yearly fashion fares in summer and winter.

The Strategy
Take you to a place born of the campaign idea. A clear concept at its heart, layered with references inspired by the product, location story or hero campaign imagery.

The Solution

Playful expressions that stood out amongst a sea of competitors. A stage to celebrate and showcase new designs. Shed designed, managed and built the stands, on time and on budget. Creating a kit of parts that could be re-used year on year, a traveling set of core elements, re-built and reimagined to tell the next Barbour story.

“A Stand that’s always successful, inviting with strong brand presence”
JULIAN ASH, Barbour

SPEARHEADING RETIAL DESIGN

The design for every exhibition had to overcome a number of challenges with sizes, formats, locations, guidelines. The bi-annual stand designs were often the first glimpse of what evolved into Barbour’s next retail store environments.

Weaving together product stories and brand heritage were key to expressing Barbour’s Royal Warrant status, we made sure it was present at every detail.

Bringing heritage to life

Archival imagery and brand stories were often a starting point. Drawing on the rich history of the brand meant there was always a compelling story to tell. On brand, on time, designed, managed and delivered. Job done.

The success of the stand design was bringing Barbour’s stories to life on a global fashion stage.
